    Why is church planting important

As a regular Sunday Mass attendee, I find churches not only as necessary places of worship. I actually find these often massive architectural structures’ designs as places to inspire people, both believers and non-believers alike. That is why church planters, people who actually set up churches at chosen locations, are people worth looking up to. Let’s check out some reasons why church planting is really important:

    It’s got to be Faith
Churches, like previously mentioned, are necessary places for people to worship in. Sure, people can all gather together in one common place to pray and worship, but with a Church, we can all join in for the fun. Churches are proper places for other Catholic activities like weddings, baptisms and funerals. Churches also create a solemn and calm presence for its visitors, a must when one needs to reflect and pray to a higher being.

    We are Family
Church planting helps create and foster families. A church in a community helps people pitch in to accomplish certain goals together. In the case of church planting, communities get to construct a church together. It also helps to strengthen bonds together, allowing community members to get to know each other more.

    A New Church Welcomes You
Church planting also helps reach out to younger generations. By having people join in the planting at a younger age, faith and interest in religion is encouraged, making new members of a church influence others. As they say, better to start early to learn and do something great.

    It grows, it’s alive!
As the church planting growth continues, it’s worshipers and attendees grow as well. A strong church foundation allows in itself to grow much-needed faith. This in turn rubs on to the worshipers, new and old alike. Think of it this way – a church is a living entity, fueled by the number of active member worshiping in it. As the members grow in number and faith, so does the church.

Church Planting is an important aspect not only for the entire Christian community, but on a single person’s faith and beliefs as well. It is important because it provides an actual place for people to worship in. it creates communities out of distant groups of people. It welcomes a new generation of worshipers, whether they be young or new believers. It helps people grow together in faith and trust. The next time you’ attend a Mass or service, try to ask your parish priest how your church was planted. It’ll be a great story to tell.
