Historical Background

The Catholic Educational Association of Legzapi was conceived in a special meeting held at Divine Word College of Legazpi, Legazpi City on September 11, 1965, when the Bicol Association of Catholic Schools (BACS) decided to branch out into the diocese. While many expressed pessimism over the move, some felt that BACS had grown too big and too unwieldy. Thus, the Catholic Educational Association of Legazpi came into existence.
